Nut Free Valentine Hearts

Ingredients
1 cup pitted dates
1 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup sunflower seeds (I prefer roasted but you can use raw)
1 t. salt (if seeds are unsalted)

Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend for 1-2 minutes to combine.  Let the processor rest so it doesn't overheat (maybe that's just mine!) and then keep processing in two-minute increments until a ball forms.

Press bars out in between two sheet of wax paper and roll out with rolling pin until about 1/4" thick.  Chill one hour.  Cut into shapes, or use cookie cutter.

Notes
These bars can feel a little more oily than ones you have made before because of the use of sunflower seeds instead of nuts.  Just keep that in mind, especially if serving on paper hearts like I did here.
